Business Profile views in July 2026 +155% vs February
Views in February 2026, the first reported month
View Google screenshot ↗ Baseline screenshot ↗How a beauty and nail salon near Paris went from 532 to 1,357 monthly Business Profile views with a steady Local SEO routine and no paid ads. Every month’s figure is taken from Google’s own Performance dashboard.
The salon had a Google Business Profile that was live but under-worked: a thin description, incomplete services, several competing spam listings nearby, unanswered reviews and almost no citations beyond Google itself. In February 2026, the first month we reported on, 532 people viewed the profile and 59 took an action on it.
Google’s own breakdown of that February traffic shows why mobile presentation mattered so much for this business:

Profile views are the number of people who saw the profile on Search and Maps; interactions are the calls, direction requests, website clicks and messages they made from it.
| Month | Profile views | vs Feb | Interactions | Work completed that month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Feb 2026 | 532 | baseline | 59 | Profile audit; categories, services and attributes fixed; spam listings reported; reviews answered; first 8 citations and branded profile links |
| Mar 2026 | 838 | +58% | 106 | Spam fighting; review responses; 7 citations incl. TripAdvisor |
| Apr 2026 | 761 | +43% | 96 | Second optimisation pass; new business description; citations |
| May 2026 | 874 | +64% | 119 | Spam fighting; review responses; citations |
| Jun 2026 | 932 | +75% | 85 | Spam fighting; review responses; citations |
| Jul 2026 | 1,357 | +155% | 113 | Spam fighting; review responses; citations |
Figures transcribed from the Google Business Profile Performance report for each month, as delivered in the client’s monthly report. February and July screenshots are linked below; the other months are available on request. April’s dip (761) followed a quieter month locally; the trend resumed in May without any change to the routine.
Nothing here is a trick. The numbers moved because the routine never stopped.
Primary and secondary categories checked against the salons ranking in the local map pack, every service and attribute completed, opening hours verified and a rewritten business description in April.
Fake, duplicate and keyword-stuffed competitor listings reported to Google each month, so the salon competed on a fairer map instead of against profiles that break the rules.
Every new review answered within the month. Responses keep the profile active, show future customers that someone is listening and give Google fresh, relevant text.
Six to eight consistent name, address and phone listings added each month on French and international directories, including TripAdvisor, to confirm the business details Google already holds.
A small set of branded profile pages pointing back to the business in the first month, so the brand name has a consistent footprint beyond Google.
One sheet per month: each task with its link, the Google Performance screenshots and a one-line verdict (increased, same, decreased) the owner can check in seconds.
Correct categories, complete services and a specific description tell Google exactly which searches the salon should appear for, including nail and beauty terms it was missing in February.
Consistent citations and answered reviews confirm that the business is real, active and where it says it is. Reporting spam removes competitors that were taking map positions unfairly.
A profile that changes every month, with new responses and verified details, keeps earning impressions. Profiles that are set up once and left alone slowly lose them.

Percent changes use Google’s own comparison labels, except the beauty salon, where the change is calculated between two monthly screenshots. Results vary by business, market, season and starting position.
“Profile views” is Google’s count of people who viewed the Business Profile on Search and Maps in the month; “interactions” counts calls, direction requests, website clicks and messages from the profile. Both come from the Performance tab of the profile and were screenshotted on the first days of the following month. Six months is long enough to see a trend, but seasonality still matters: summer is busier for salons, and July’s jump partly reflects that. The steady rise from March onward, while the routine stayed the same, is the signal we rely on. Results vary by market, competition and starting position; this is one business, not a guarantee.
Most local businesses do not need a dramatic rebuild to get more from Google. They need the unglamorous routine, done every month: accurate categories and services, spam reported, reviews answered, listings consistent. The same routine runs for our restaurant, roofing and HVAC clients, and it is the first thing we check in a free audit.
The salon does not share booking revenue with us, and we only publish numbers we can source. Google’s Performance report is the owner’s own dashboard, so both of us can check every figure.
No. The scope was the Google Business Profile and citations only. No paid ads ran during the period and the website was not rebuilt.
For client privacy. The linked Google screenshots show the profile name, so the result is verifiable without us publishing the client on our own site.
The routine is the same for any single-location local business: restaurants, clinics, trades and shops. What changes is the categories, services and directories involved. See our restaurant case study for the same approach measured with geogrid rankings.
